Bourbon
Bourbon is a corn-based, aged spirit that, while legally can be produced anywhere in the U.S., is Kentucky’s signature liquor; in fact, Kentucky distilleries make 95% of the world’s bourbon and the Bluegrass State hosts over a million visitors annually for bourbon tasting tourism.
Because of the liquor’s aging process variation, bourbon’s colors range from light amber to dark caramel and each bottle must contain at least 40% ABV. Bourbon can only be called bourbon if it’s aged in an oak barrel; barrels must be new and are pre-charred to help the liquid extract as much flavor as possible from the wood.

Whiskey
Whiskey or whisky is a type of distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grain mash. Various grains (which may be malted) are used for different varieties including barley, corn, rye and wheat. Whiskey is typically made in wooden casks, generally made of charred white oak.

Rye
In the United State, “rye whiskey” is, by law, made from a mash of at least 51% rye while the other ingredients are usually corn and malted barley. Rye is distilled to no more than 160 U.S. proof (80%) and then aged in new, charred oak barrels at no more than 125 proof (62.5%). Rye whiskey that has been aged for at least two years and has not been blended with other ingredient or spirits may be further designated as a “straight rye whiskey.”

Scotch
Scotch whisky, often called “Scotch”, is a malt whisky or grain whisky made in Scotland. Originally, all scotch was made from malted barley. Commercial distilleries began introducing whisky made from wheat and rye in the late 18th century. All scotch whisky must be aged in new, charred oak barrels for at least three years. Any age statement on a bottle of scotch must reflect the age of the youngest whisky used to produce the product. This is known as a guaranteed-age whisky.

Irish
Irish whiskey is produced on the island of Ireland. Once the world’s most popular spirit, Irish whiskey is known for its smooth finish as opposed to the smokey, earthy overtones common in most scotches. This is because peat is rarely used in the Irish whiskey malting process.
**All whiskeys are priced and served as a 2 oz. pour.**
Canadian
Canadian whisky is a type of whisky produced in Canada. Most Canadian whiskies are blended, multi-grain liquors containing a large percentage of corn spirits and typically smoother than other whisky styles.
**All whiskeys are priced and served as a 2 oz. pour.**
Japanese
Japanese whisky is a style of whisky developed and produced in Japan. Whisky production in Japan began around 1870, but the first commercial production was in 1924 upon opening the country’s first distillery, “Yamazaki.” Broadly speaking, the style of Japanese whisky is more similar to scotch than other whiskies.
